Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island by IHG

We had a lovely stay for our Anniversary at the Jekyl Island Holiday Inn. The location is amazing, right on the ocean with beautiful sunrises. It was fantastic to be able to just walk out our room and watch the sky come alive. The front desk staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were very pleased to hear about the shuttle service and used them to go to dinner each night and to the bike rental shop. Donna, from maintenance, was an excellent driver, tour guide and very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She was a pleasure to have around. We were surprised to learn and forgot to mention about my allergy to dogs before getting our room and unpacking our gear. (We didn’t realize this location was very pet friendly, an oversight on my part.) It was a blessing to have an ionizer to help clear the air. An issue for some guests would have been the fact the elevator wasn’t working for our entire stay. So we were very thankful to have a ground floor room. The bike path on the island was a BONUS. We really enjoyed riding around the island and especially happy we could take a break at our room just off the path before heading into “town” and returning our bikes. We would recommend this hotel and return for another stay if we’re ever in the area again.

Hospitality at its finest ! We never been to the island before , I told myself I was going to walk into a couple places and see how they were. When I pulled up i’m not going to lie, The curb appeal wasn’t the best but that’s what made it a hidden gem! The rear of the property on the ocean is absolutely stunning. And it’s not often these days where you go to hotel and you’re just treated with the high amount of hospitality and respect. They gave that warm southern old school charming vibe . The front desk lady: manager, I think her name was Caroline , Was such a pleasure and made us feel right at home. And it was my daughter’s birthday the whole staff made her feel special and let her pick the movie and made her day so special. I will 100% stay at this hotel every time I come to the island. And the food was great too!

Top notch service. No question about that. Everyone at the reception is super nice. They were very flexible with adjusting dates. I had several issues with the room and all got corrected quickly. Bicycle rental is bonus. Location is in middle of everything. Bathroom shower had no pressure at all and something stinky about the water. People were very noisy. Even at 11 a.m., it was noisy. I was given a room next to washer dryer and it was continuous noise from there as well. Breakfast is the worst. Do not take the breakfast package. Overall, I liked it and will go again without the breakfast package.

We stayed here for a week and first of all I am pretty sure we were given the best room in the whole hotel since it was off season and we booked well in advanced. Our room was very spacious and had two picture windows facing the ocean… amazing! The hotel itself is very clean. We used our free coffee coupons every morning and Lynda the lady serving the coffee is a definite plus to the staff. She is so friendly. We enjoyed borrowing the cruiser bikes and we used the hot tub in the evening. This was a fantastic 5 star stay.

Large rooms, great views .The property is laid out well landscaping is neet and clean.tgere are outside beds to relax and take in the view. These beds are great for star gazing as the property is dark for wildlife. The beach is hard sand easy to walk on. Shells were scarce when we were here . The room. The rooms are dated but they are clean and neet. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower well our room it could have exfoliate the skin with its pressure ( not complaining, lol) They also have free bikes to use and I guess the bike path is popular as I see people on the bike trail.

Our first time visiting Jekyll Island. From the moment we walked into the lobby and were greeted warmly by Kim, the experience got better and better. From our excellent dinner in their restaurant ( one Shrimp and Grits, and one Crab Cake sandwich), to complimentary coffee as the sun came up, and a great breakfast before we checked out, the food was wonderful. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed talking to the manager. Outside we couldn't get over how quiet and restful the setting was. We lay in a huge upholstered shelter and meditated to the relaxing sound of the ocean. We've been to Holiday Inns all over the country and this property and the service was surely the best of them all.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Resort. The rooms were very clean and the hotel felt safe. The amenities were nice, including the beautiful pool, the loungers and fire pits, and the free coffee with the included coffee vouchers (so much better than normal hotel coffee!). There were a few spots that showed some wear and tear (peeling paint, a stained chair cushion, a slow tub drain), but nothing that felt unusual for a hotel at the beach. Overall we would absolutely visit again. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful spot on the ocean. The restaurant was a very easy spot.to e joy food with a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful and the peach and jalapeno pizza was a tasty surprise. The place is family friendly and our son l9ved the outdoor movie night. Our room 267 needs some love. The stove had one nonfunctional burner and one that we had to play with to get to work. There is a missing dimmer light switch too by the stove. The hotel doesn't stick by the pet policy well. There were some uncrated large dogs barking and jumping on the windows in Room 269. We stopped using the stairs on the side for fear they may get out and hurt our children. Unfortunately some pet owners didn't pick up after their dogs either so watch your step. The location and Restaurant and Coffee bar staff really made the trip great but fixing up some maintenance issues and policing poor pet owners would make this a 5 star place. We' will probably come back and hope that the maintenance issues are just waiting to be addressed during the slower season.
